Mrs. Mary Ruth Williams, age 86, of Rockwall, Texas formerly of McKinney, Texas passed away October 9, 2006, in Garland, Texas. She was born January 25, 1920, in Sulphur Springs, Texas to Carl and Dixie Ward. On July 13, 1942, she married Malcolm Boyd Williams in Sulphur Springs, Texas. She was a member of the McKinney Historical Society and a former Pink Lady at Collin County Memorial Hospital. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of McKinney. She is survived by her sons, Steve and his wife Judy of Dallas, Texas and David and his wife Mary Louise of Rockwall, Texas; grandchildren, Russ Williams, Jamie Herrington, Clark Williams, Brad Williams, Michael Williams, J.D. Williams; great-grandchild, Kaylin Herrington; sister, Frances Jackson of Sulphur Springs, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceding her in death were her husband, Malcolm Boyd Williams; her parents; and her brother, Bill Ward. Memorials may be made to the Heritage Guild. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 12, 2006, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
