Mrs. Mary Alice Tutson, age 75 of McKinney, TX, passed away January 18, 2005 at her home. She was born April 28, 1929 in McKinney to Floyd and Omie (Payne) Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the St. James C.M.E. Church in McKinney. She is survived by her children, Floyd Tutson of Amarillo, TX, Lonzo Tutson Jr. of Dallas, Clarence Tutson of Miami, FL, Billy McKinney of Dallas, TX, Jerry McKinney of McKinney, Mary Ann Tutson of Jackson, MS, Helen Griffin of McKinney, and Tammy McKinney of McKinney; 36 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren. Her parents; sisters, Shirley Henry, Alice Radway, and Ola Smith and Floyd Rhoton precede her in death. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, January 22, 2005, at St. James C.M.E. Church, 316 Watt, McKinney. Rev. A. James Tutson, Rev. Larry Jagours, Rev. Winston Douglas, Rev. Wheatley Bell and Rev. S. T. Tutson will be the officiating ministers for the service. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be John Walker, Michael Boyd, Brent Griffin, Howard Griffin Jr., Barrington Griffin, and Weldon Thompkins. There will be 16 honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Friday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
