Mary Katherine “Tiny” Chaddick Smith of Whitewright, Texas, joined our heavenly father on August 16, 2012 at the age of 61. She was born in McKinney, Texas on November 14, 1950, the sixth child out of seven to Earl James and Gerta Lee Katherine Dunn Chaddick of Plano, Texas. Tiny graduated from Plano Senior High School in 1969 with honors and completed her education by receiving her bachelor and master degree in education from NTSU. Following graduation, she taught business in Chula Vista, California, followed by seventeen years at Clark High School in Plano, Texas. During her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with family, cooking, creating crafts, researching genealogy, fishing and planning parties for family events. Tiny was an avid volunteer and campaign member for Sam Johnson from many years. Most recently she took much joy spending quality time with her two beautiful granddaughters.
She is survived by her two children, Melinda Katherine Smith and her fiancé, Ryan Lambeth of Plano, Texas, Patrick Andrew Smith and wife, Marie of Coconut Creek, Florida and their daughters, Kaelyn Marie and Isabella Grace; brothers, Dennis Randall Chaddick of Allen, Texas, Earl James Chaddick and wife, Patricia of Alba, Texas, and Thomas David Chaddick and wife, Cheryl of Mesquite, Texas; sisters, Laurel Chaddick Dowd and husband, Richard of Melissa, Texas and Valda Rae Chaddick Wilkinson and husband, Paul of Allen, Texas. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was a big part of everyone’s lives and will be missed deeply and remembered forever. She leaves behind a host of dear friends in the Whitewright area.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lee Nell Chaddick Radford and nephew, Travis Lynn Chaddick.
There will be a private celebration of life in Allen, Texas.
