Mary Alice Smith, age 72, of Blue Ridge, Texas, passed away July 27, 2015. She was born on February 15, 1943 in Missouri, to Claude Ernest and Gladys (Davis) Allen. On June 23, 1960, Mary married Donald Ray Smith in Farmers Branch, Texas. She was a member of Farmersville Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son, Casey Smith and wife Shelli of Leonard, Texas; grandchildren, Hannah Smith of Leonard, Texas and Allie Smith of Blue Ridge, Texas; great-grandchildren, Abbie Grace Smith, Sophie Smith, Traceson Smith and Traxton Smith; siblings, Jerry D. Allen and wife Andrea of Biggers, Arkansas, Nina McKeen and husband Arthur of Hillsboro, Missouri, Sam Allen of Nashville, Tennessee, Mike Allen of Yantis, Texas, Betty Jenkins of Yantis, Texas, Brenda Gore of Globe Arizona and Linda Bilberry of Globe, Arizona.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Don Smith and siblings, Rusty Allen, Bob Allen and Jean Graham.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home for a visitation being held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday evening, as well as, Thursday, at 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
