Mary Margaret Shipley of Allen, Texas passed away July 8, 2015 at the age of 93. She was born August 17, 1921 to Ernest L. and Florence (Buskirk) Hamilton in White River, South Dakota. Mary married Chester Harland Shipley on June 17, 1950 in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2013. She grew up in South Dakota and Kansas City, Missouri where she graduated from high school. Mary was a real estate agent in St. Joseph, Missouri and Kimberling City. She enjoyed cooking, reading and playing bridge. Mary was active in the Presbyterian Church and was a foster parent.
She is survived by daughter, Susan Masterson and husband, Jack of Sarasota, Florida; son, Dave Shipley and wife Cathy of Allen, Texas; grandson, Blake Shipley and wife Eryan of Richardson, Texas; granddaughter, Lindsay Pierson and husband Tucker of McKinney, Texas; great-grandchildren, Parke Shipley, Leighton Shipley, Ben Shipley, Emma Pierson and Nash Pierson; sisters, Lee Parker of Omaha, Nebraska and JoAnn Lazane of Columbia, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother, Jiggs Hamilton.
Inurnment will take place at DFW National Cemetery at a later date.
