Mrs. Mary Gaynelle Brandon Scruggs of Plano, Texas passed away May 26, 2011 in Plano.
She was born January 29, 1929 in Farmersville, Texas the daughter of William and Myrna Jackson Brandon.
She married William N. (Bill) Scruggs March 22, 1966 in Amarillo, Texas.
She is survived by her husband; Bill Scruggs of Plano, Texas, children; Larry D. Scruggs and wife Shirley of Canyon, Texas, Garry Lynn Scruggs and wife Mary of Arizona, Steve Barr and wife Janice of Carey, North Carolina, Matt Barr and wife Katrina of Merit, Texas. She is also surivved by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mary was politically active in Plano's Republican party. She was Plano's Republican Chairwoman of the year, campaign manager for Collin County Sheriff Terry Box and former State Representative Bryan McCall. She was also presented the John McVeigh Award which is the outstanding Republican of the year.
