Mary Alice Phillips, age 58, passed away on February 12, 2008 in Little Elm, Texas. She was born on June 20, 1949 in San Francisco, California to Odessa (Menefee) and Jesse Barnett. Mary is survived by her daughter, Colette Wallace Russey of Frisco, Texas; son, Harold Carl Phillips of San Diego, California; grandsons, Caleb Rigsby and Malachi Russey of Frisco, Texas, Darren Jordan Phillips, Jesse Phillips of Duluth, Georgia; granddaughter, Sarina Lyons of Frisco, Texas, Jasmine Phillips of Duluth, Georgia; son-in-law, David Russey of Frisco, Texas; sisters, Brenda Johnson of Vallejo, California, Rachael Rich of Oakland, California, Dorothy Williams; brothers, Isaac Barnett, David Barnett of Vallejo, California; Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Odessa Barnett, brothers, Luke Barnett, Rufus Barnett, Elisha Barnett, Daniel Barnett; sister, Mae Grances. A Memorial Service will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Frisco, Texas on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Ray Harmon officiating. Family and friends are invited to the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Frisco at their convenience on Thursday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Thursday from 2:00 PM prior to the service. Mary Alice She was everything The blueprint, the foundation, the structure She was strong, she was beautiful Took care of me, you, your kids, her kids, Nieces, nephews, grandkids…EVERYBODY. Never complained. Dancing, Laughing, Drama Queen That was her. Attitude, Sass, Class That was her. Who couldn’t lover her? Mother, counselor, care-taker, friend Who was she to you? “Don’t cry when I’m when I’m gone, I want yall to party!” That’s what she said…so do that. Live life fully. Be happy, because she is. Get close and start loving, while you still have a chance. Forgive like she did. She was everything The blueprint, the foundation, the structure And she held us all together. Sarina
