Mary Ruth Nelson, age 85, of McKinney, Texas, passed away December 28, 2009. Mrs. Nelson was born on January 14, 1924, in McKinney, Texas, to W.I. Hart and Ella Margaret Watkins. She married Henry E. Nelson in McKinney, Texas. She is survived by children, Danny Nelson of Whitney, Texas, Brenda Emerson and Randy of Plano, Texas, and Mark Nelson of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Kyle Nelson of Springtown, Texas, Chris Nelson of Frisco, Texas, and Adam Emerson of Plano, Texas; great-grandchildren, Cross Nelson, Cade Nelson, and Logan Nelson; sister, Jean Johnson of Plano, Texas. She was preceded in death by husband, Henry; brother, William Hart; sister, Irma Lee; and parents W.I. and Ella Margaret Hart. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, on Thursday, December 31, 2009, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Dr. Danny Buster officiating. Interment will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery. The family will receive friends during a visitation held from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
