Mary Ann Miller, 89, of McKinney, TX, formerly of Farmersville, Passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at her Residence in McKinney.

A member of First United Methodist Church in Farmersville. Mrs. Miller was a graduate of Farmersville High School. Also a graduate of University of North Texas where she received a Bachelors in Music and Education, and also receiving her Masters in Psychology.

Mrs. Miller taught school in Dallas, McKinney, Farmersville, and in Richardson at West Junior High where she was a School Counselor. She was a member of the Wednesday Book Review Club. Mrs. Miller was a Regent in the DAR, and was a member of the Farmersville Historical Society. She was also a member of the Mary K. Craig Class in McKinney. She also was a Volunteer at the Dallas Museum of Art and was a World Traveler.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband: Robert McCrary Miller; her Parents, and a sister: Catherine Smith. Surviving relatives are her daughter: Janice Spurgin and her husband Michael of Melissa; two granddaughters: Emily Spurgin of Melissa and Sarah Spurgin of Denton; a grandson: Matthew Spurgin of Melissa; and a great-grandson: Andrew Spurgin of Melissa
