Funeral services for Mary Bernadette Sweeney Jones, 90 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 1:30 P.M. Sunday December 12, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church of Leonard. Rev. Willie Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be Saturday December 11, 2010 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Mrs. Jones was born February 26, 1920 at New York, New York. Her parents were John and Margaret Harken Sweeney. She was a homemaker, a high school graduate and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Leonard. She married William Wayne “Bill” Jones, Sr. October 16, 1944 at San Diego, California. He preceded her in death on December 12, 1986. She passed away Sunday December 5, 2010 at Renton, Washington. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: William Wayne Jr. and Debra Jones of Renton, Washington and Mark A. and Lana Jones of Cotter, Arkansas; her 4 grandchildren: Ashley Jones, Kaitlyn Jones, Race Jones and Amber Oxley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
