Mary Elizabeth Rackley Hunt, age 93, of Rockwall, Texas, passed away on July 25, 2015. Mary resided at the Arbor House of Rockwall for the past 6 years. Mary was the 6th of 7 children of Luther Carol and Cordelia Fields Rackley. She was born May 1, 1922, in rural Collin County, Texas. She was married to Willie Excell Hunt for 49 years until his death in 1991. Mary owned the Petite Beauty Salon in Garland for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Farmersville, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband Willie (Bill) Hunt and son Billy Earl Hunt, her parents and all of her siblings. She leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews, great and great-nieces and nephews.
A remembrance gathering will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home in Farmersville, Texas. Graveside services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in I. O. O. F. Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas. Officiating the services will be Rev. Lynn Christie. Our thanks to the staff at Arbor House in Rockwall and Heritage Hospice who cared so efficiently for Mary.
