Mrs. Mary Nelma Haynes, age 98 of Fort Worth, TX, passed away June 21, 2005. She was born on November 23, 1906 in McKinney, TX to Albert Pike and Mary Delmar (McMillan) Dickerson. Mary graduated from Boyd High School in McKinney. She married John Belton Haynes in 1932 in McKinney. Mary was a published author and artist. She taught creative writing for many years and was a guest instructor at SMU. She was of the Methodist faith. She is survived by her nieces, Bobbie A. Heth and husband, Dan of N. Richland Hills, TX and Betty L. Thrasher of Southlake, TX; nephew, Billy R. Dickerson of Farmers Branch, TX; and several great-nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, John B. Haynes, sisters, Madge Dickerson and Frances Smith, and brothers, Roy O. and Albert V. Dickerson precede her in death. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney.
