Martha Nordman Peters, nee Schaefer, age 97, of Frisco, TX passed away on May 16, 2011. She was born on September 30, 1913 in St. Meinrad, IN to Catherine (Hubers) and John Schaefer. She is survived by her children, Carol Hutchison (James) of Arlington Heights, IL and Richard Nordman (Sharon) of Frisco, TX, grandchildren Natalie Nordman, Nicholas Nordman (Sarah), Scott Hutchison (Jeni) and Christopher Hutchison (Kelley), great-grandson Asher Nordman, several nieces and nephews, step-son Robert Peters (Carole), step-daughters Elaine Binder (Toby) and Janet Gramza (Mike). Martha was preceded in death by her husbands Edward Nordman and Robert Peters. Martha was the last born of nine children to a southern Indiana farming family and, also, the last to die. Upon completing the 8th grade, she was sent to live with a sister in Cincinnati. She worked for many years providing cooking and family care services at private residences. After the untimely death of her husband, Edward, she struggled successfully to raise two young children and to keep the family's home. Nine years later, she married Robert. She actively attended and supported her church and lived her faith. Martha was a very caring person and had many friends. They as well as her family loved her very much. There will be a brief service at St Joseph's Cemetery (3819 W. Eighth and Seton Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio) on June 11th at 10am.
