Mark Henry Winters

Mark Henry Winters, age 55, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on December 16, 2015, after a long battle with multiple myeloma. He was born May 22, 1960, in Modesto, California, to Jay Adrian and Nellye (Van Andel) Winters.  On April 25, 1987, Mark married Carol Hill in Nashville, Tennessee. 

Mark graduated from California State University at Stanislaus with a BBA in 1984. He was hired by EDS into the systems engineering development program and moved to Texas to work in the Health Services division. He continued with the company, later purchased by HP, for 31 years. His most recent position was as an enterprise architect with HP Enterprise in the cloud business unit.

He was a volunteer with Communities in Schools, and a member of Kiwanis International and First United Methodist Church of McKinney.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Winters of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Amy Caroline Winters and boyfriend Blake Bartley of Dallas, Texas; brothers, Stuart Winters of Ripon, California, Stan Winters and wife Nancy of Cerritos, California, Eric Winters and wife Margie of Modesto, California; and loving nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Nellye Winters, and brother, Nathan Winters.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2015 at First United Methodist Church, 315 N. Church Street, McKinney, Texas.  Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery.  The family will receive friends during a visitation Sunday evening beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
