Mark E. Smith, age 42, of McKinney, Texas passed away January 30, 2008 in McKinney. He was born December 1, 1965, in Frederick, Maryland, the son of Harold and Darline (Decker) Smith. On March 21, 1991, he married Valerie May in Fort Worth, TX. He was a Scoutmaster with Boy Scout Troop 496 in McKinney, who was very proud of his son, Arlo, who is an Eagle Scout and his son, Conner who is a Life Scout working on his Eagle Scout. Mark was an air traffic controller. He is survived by his wife, Valerie; sons, Arlo Tippit of McKinney and Conner Smith of McKinney; sister, Marion Bolson of Denver; mother, Darline Smith of Denver; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; and brother, Rich Smith. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, February 4, 2008 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. John Blacklock officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home on Sunday, February 3, 2008, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM.
