Mark Allen Schaffer, age 56 of Frisco, Texas passed away on March 7, 2014 in Frisco, Texas. He was born on December 15, 1957 in Lansdale, Pennsylvania to Betty Virginia (Mayall) and Gerald Linford Schaffer. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Financial Economics from Penn State in 1981. Mark then went on to complete his Master’s degree in Financial Economics at University of Texas at Arlington. He worked at Hewlett-Packard for over 26 years. He was a long time member of Preston Ridge Baptist Church in Frisco.
Mark is survived by his wife, Cindy Schaffer of Frisco, Texas; son, Eric Schaffer of McKinney, Texas; granddaughter, Isabella Jeane Rockett of McKinney, Texas; mother, Betty Virginia Crouthamel of Plano, Texas; brothers, Steven Schaffer of Garland, Texas, David Schaffer and his wife, Gay of Blue Ridge, Texas; niece, Sarah Schaffer of Wylie, Texas; nephews, Adam Schaffer of Plano, Texas and Andrew Schaffer of Garland, Texas.
Mark is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Schaffer.
A Memorial Service will be held at Preston Ridge Baptist Church in Frisco on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Gerald Griffin officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
