IN LOVING MEMORY

Marjorie Brisolara Stewart

Mar 21 1926 - Sep 13 2008

Marjorie Brisolara Stewart passed into eternal light on September 13, 2008, preceded in death by her parents Edith and Manuel Brisolara, loving and devoted husband, Edwin J. Stewart, Jr., sons Edwin III and Infant Dennis, and two sisters, Shirley and Sister Ann Joseph (Audrey). She is survived by her children, Deborah, Marlene, Stephen, and Darlene, two son-in-laws, Steve and Chris, eight grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Also, her brother Ashton and a host of nieces, nephews, and an abundance of friends. Margy...Beloved daughter, cherished wife, devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, godmother, friend... Sweet, loving, joyful, artistic, intuitive, spiritual, playful, strong and adventurous, graceful, wise... Strength personified in face of the challenges in life. Physically and emotionally challenged, she relied on her faith and prayer to maintain her steadfast forward movement, during the most challenging last three years. She found much joy during this time by the unconditional love of her three youngest grandchildren, with whom she was living, since Hurricane Katrina changed her life as she knew it forever. Even in times of challenge, Margy found the strength, love, grace and words to help ease the pain of others, who were caring for her during her challenges. Always a peacemaker, she strove for harmony in all occassions. Margy will be so missed by all of us. There will be no one to fill her place in our hearts. There is joy in knowing she is now pain-free, up in heaven with her parents, husband, sisters, children, aunts, uncles and a multitude of friends. She will never leave us, she will be alive in our hearts, souls and spirits forever. There is peace in knowing she will continue to love and guide all of us.
