Marjorie Joyce McMenamy of Allen, Texas passed away February 14, 2014 at the age of 81. She was born February 28, 1932 to Ashley Lee Miles and Gertrude Juanita (Inman) Miles in Telephone, Texas. Marjorie married Bobby McMenamy on April 16, 1950 in Sherman, Texas. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. Marjorie enjoyed reading and spending time working in her garden growing herbs and flowers.
Marjorie is survived by her husband, Bobby McMenamy of Allen, Texas; children, Patricia McMenamy of Allen, Texas, Allan Lee McMenamy of Gun Barrel City, Texas, Linda McMenamy of Telephone, Texas, Brenda Menikos and husband Tom of Mansfield, Texas, Denise Brown and husband Paul of Carrollton, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew McMenamy, Kevin McMenamy, Vivienne Menikos Brown, Caleb Menikos and Nicole Brown; five great-grandchildren; sister, Marcia Lee Buford of Blossom, Texas and Rosemary Miles of Seven Points, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
She was proceded in death by parents.
A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon, Monday, February 17, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Indian Creek Cemetery in Fannin County. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
