Marie McGinty, age 85, of Irving, Texas passed away December 10, 2007 at her home. She was born April 10, 1922, in McKinney, Texas to Elisha Clinton and Lula Mae (Day) Vaughan. She married Mac McGinty in 1968. Mrs. McGinty was a bank teller and of the Methodist faith. She is survived by her daughters, Reba Motsinger of Irving and Pattie Blackwood of Natchez, Mississippi; son, C.D. Ashby, Jr. of Kennedale, Texas; grandchildren, Dale Motsinger, Gary Motsinger, Denise Queme and John Neal; twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister, Doris Shoemaker of Trenton, TX; and brothers, Eldred Vaughan of Mena, AR and Wayne Vaughan of McKinney. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mac; and grandchildren, Sandy Grant and Kenny Shanks. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Alan Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Lowry Crossing, TX. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Wednesday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening beginning at 6:00 PM.
