Marie Huffhines Lovil, age 97, of Plano, Texas passed away July 12, 2010. She was born July 9, 1913, in Krum, Texas to Ira and Betty Huffhines. Mrs. Lovil grew up in Denton, Texas, where she graduated from Denton High School. She earned a bachelor degree in education from Texas Women’s University. On December 23, 1940, she married William Charles Lovil in Sulpher Springs, Texas. Mrs. Lovil taught homemaking and science for many years. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Atlanta, Texas. In 2008, she moved to Plano, Texas to be closer to her family. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill Lovil, Jr. and Cinda; grandsons, William C. Lovil, III and his wife, Marina Avila Lovil, and Mark White Lovil all of Plano, Texas; and great granddaughter, Elena Alicia Lovil. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Charles Lovil; 2 sisters and 1 brother. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 16, 2010, at Roselawn Memorial Park, 3801 Roselawn Drive in Denton, Texas with Dr. Danny Buster officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors. Family and friends are invited to Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home at their convenience on Thursday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
