Marie Hefner, age 90, of Allen, Texas passed away December 12, 2003, in Allen. She was born October 4, 1913, in Allen to Welby Garrett and Sally Meda (Collins) Cundiff. On October 19, 1934, she married Hense Edgar “Hef” Hefner in Durant, Oklahoma. Mrs. Hefner worked for Rodenbaugh’s in Allen from 1966 to 1978. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Allen. She is survived by her daughter, Gayle Hefner Tunnell and husband, Tommy of Tyler, Texas; son, Gary Hefner and wife, Michele of Allen; grandchildren, Kim Caylor of Bentonville, Arkansas, Kelly Schraer of Cleveland, Mississippi, Whitney Hefner, Melissa Hefner and Hank Hefner all of Allen; great grandsons, Justin, Jordan and Jaxson Caylor, Luke and Levi Schraer and Hayden Hefner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband, Hense Edgar “Hef” Hefner; parents, Welby Garrett and Sally Meda Cundiff; 8 brothers and sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 15, 2003, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. James Craver officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
