Loving mother and grandmother, Marie Louise Evans, 80, of Richardson, Texas, born June 24, 1926 in Cheboygan, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 after bravely fighting a long battle with cancer. Survivors include daughter & son-in-law, Linda and Alan Bambina of Farmers Branch; son, Michael Evans of Midland; and daughter & son-in-law, Mary and Dave Stephenson of Frisco. She was preceded in death by daughter, Tricia Hewes. She is survived by grandchildren Laura Stephenson of Plano, Catherine & Brent Clendinning of Dallas, Todd & Nicola Hewes of Richardson, Jen & Chris Rife of Burbank, CA, and great-grandson, Evan Rife. Louise was a former long-time resident of Midland, Texas where she raised her four children, worked as a nurse at Midland Memorial Hospital, and volunteered at Midland Community Theatre. She moved to Richardson in 1983 where she loved being closer to family and made many new friends. She was active in a bowling league and as a volunteer at Richardson Regional Medical Center where she donated many, many hours – even as she was fighting her own illness. She was an avid reader, loved theatre, and traveled a great deal. She especially enjoyed Scotland and England and was even a nanny in London for a year. She will be remembered by everyone for her dry wit, candor, funny spirit, and big heart! Louise lovingly chose to donate her body to medical research. There will be a memorial service celebrating her life at The Unity Church of Dallas on Saturday, June 23, at 10:00am followed by a reception at the church at 6525 Forest Ln., Dallas 75230.
