Marian Edna Frye Johnson, 93 year old Leonard resident, passed away Sunday May 2, 2010 at the Hunt Regional Medical Center at Greenville, Texas. She was born January 15, 1917 at Washington, D.C. Her parents were Clarence F. and Ora C. Cox Frye. She was a High School graduate and a homemaker. She married Wilbert P. Johnson February 9, 1935 at Silver Springs, MD. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Peggy Ann and Jerry F. Lorenz of Leonard; her son: Melvin Wayne Johnson of Edgewater, MD; her granddaughter: Terry Porter of Port Republic, MD; her great grandchildren: Megan and Jason Porter of Port Republic, MD. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Clarence R. Johnson, and a sister, Alma Clifton. A memorial service will be conducted for Mrs. Johnson at a later date in Maryland.
