Maria C. Ramirez, age 95, of McKinney, Texas, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 17, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Ramirez was born on July 28, 1920, in Rice, Texas, to Cornelia Gonzales and Pedro Campos. She then entered into holy matrimony on October 12, 1939 to Alejandro Ramirez. Mrs. Ramirez had two children, John and James. She was a devoted wife and homemaker for forty-three years.
She is survived by her son, James D. Ramirez and wife, Maggie of Midland, Texas; grandchildren, Sonja Christine Ramirez, Michael Christopher Ramirez; great-grandson, Daniel Miguel of Denton, Texas; and numerous niece and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Campos, mother, Cornelia Gonzales Campos, husband, Alejandro C. Ramirez, son, John Ramirez, sisters, Adela Ramirez, Santos C. Gayton, Clara C. Tabarez, and Ramona C. Valdez.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at St. Michael Catholic Church in McKinney, Texas. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney. A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday evening, September 21, 2015 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
