Mrs. Maria Salud Garza, age 76, of McKinney, Texas, passed away May 21, 2004, in McKinney. She was born December 9, 1907, in San Benito, Texas, to Ricardo and Trinidad (Baiza) Escamilla. She married Leo Garza in 1945 in San Juan, Texas. She was a homemaker and member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in McKinney. She is survived by her husband, Leo Garza of McKinney, Texas; sons, Ruben Garza of Richardson, Texas, Robert Garza of McKinney, Ramiro Garza of Dallas, Texas, Lupe and Lionel Garza, both of McKinney, Fernando Garza of Whitewright, Texas, and Freddy, Ray, and Eddie, all of McKinney; daughter, Stella Garza of McKinney; 44 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ricardo Escamilla of McKinney, Manuel Escamilla of Grand Prairie, Texas, Ramiro of Whitesboro, Texas, and Francisco Escamilla of Houston, Texas; sisters, Carmen Adame of Pleasant Grove, Texas, Vicki Frye of Dallas, and Juanita Gonzales of Van Alstyne, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Erma Garza Blanco; granddaughter, Angel Garza; great-granddaughter, Ceula Ann Blanco; brother, Raul Escamilla; and sisters, Aurora Baiza and Lupe Ramierz. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 25, 2004, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with Fr. Steven Bierschenk officiating. Interment will be at Ridgeview Memorial Park. There will be a rosary service at 7:00 P.M., Monday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
