Margielayne Kammeyer

Margielayne Kammeyer, age 85, of Richardson, Texas passed away February 5, 2011. She was born on February 12, 1925, in Springfield, Colorado, to Lance Lowe and Grace (Seymour) Cole. On June 1, 1947 she married Robert Alvin Kammeyer, in Concordia, Missouri. Margielayne was of the Lutheran faith. While Margielayne was trained as an RN, she enjoyed being a homemaker. She taught Sunday school and worked with Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. She was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society. She is survived by her husband, Robert A. Kammeyer of Richardson, Texas; daughters, Louise Cochran and husband Charles of Allen, Texas, and Rose Marie Chambers of Georgetown, Texas; grandchildren, Charles Y. Cochran V, of Arlington, Texas, Keith E. Cochran of Kilgore, Texas, Alesia C. Cochran of Austin, Texas, Kevin Kammeyer of Sacramento, California, Mickey Kammeyer of Brooklyn, New York, Kaity Grace Kahle of Daly City, California, Rachel Layne Fillmore of Georgetown, Texas and Andrew Cole Fillmore of Georgetown, Texas; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Bud Cole of Summitt, Arkansas; and sister, Betty Louise Womack of San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Robert Lynn and Keith Alvin Kammeyer; brothers, George and Marvin Cole. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society. A private funeral service for the family will be held. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Friday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a celebration of birth/rebirth from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home on Saturday. Interment will take place at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Concordia, Missouri at a later date.
