IN LOVING MEMORY

Margaret (Peggy) Donahue Lewis

Mar 17 1942 - Apr 18 2013

Margaret Donahue Lewis (Peggy) was born March 17, 1942, to Don and Gerry Donahue in Vernon, Texas, and was raised in Corpus Christi. She enjoyed her final days resting at home in Plano with frequent visits from family and friends. She went to be with her Heavenly Father on April 18, 2013 at the age of 71.

Peggy graduated from Ray High School in Corpus Christi Texas in May of 1960. In August of 1961 she married Bill and they shared 51 years of marriage together. She and Bill moved to the Dallas area in 1962 and it was there that they started and raised their family

Peggy was passionate about many things, including her Irish heritage, delightful flower gardens, home-cooking, shopping, maintenance of close relationships, careful planning and execution of family gatherings and, of course, spending time with her family. In fact, probably all else pales in comparison to her love for spending time with her children, grandchildren and extended family. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.

Peggy departed to be with her Savior after a courageous battle with a prolonged illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Gerry Donahue, and granddaughter, Grace Caroline Lewis. She leaves her love to devoted husband Bill; brother and his spouse Steve and Kay Donahue; children and their spouses Kayleen Welsh, Jim and Amy Lewis, Carrie and Bryan Earls, Will and Emily Lewis; and grandchildren Patrick Welsh, Mary Margaret Lewis, Bethany, Jessica, Jonathan, Abigail, and Michelle Earls, and Kade Lewis.

The family will receive friends during a visitation which will be held at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, on Monday, April 22, 2013 from 6-8 PM.

Please join us in a celebration of her life at Turrentine Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 4 PM with Pastor Warren Samuels officiating.

Donations in memory of Peggy may be made to the ministry she was devoted to for nearly thirty years, the Tabernacle Baptist Church and Love Care Ministries, 3403 McBroom Street, Dallas, Texas 75212. Office (972)602-9505 Angela Reagans (214)436-7827.
