Margaret Frisby McAdams, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on July 16, 2013 at the age of 95. She was born July 27, 1917, in Collin County, Texas, to Jimmie Reace and Rachel (Organ) Frisby. Margaret taught school, loved poetry, and enjoyed helping people. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in McKinney, where she was a member of the Clown Band and played the piano for the Lora Ryan Class.

She is survived by nieces, Bobbye Minshew and husband Gary of McKinney, Texas, Terrye Sims Hernandez and husband Rudy of Dallas, Texas and Ann McAdams of College Station, Texas; great-nephews, Robert Minshew and wife Irma of Celina, Texas, Jeffrey Minshew and wife Connie of Bonham, Texas, Darrell Hernandez and wife Kari of Dallas, Texas; great-nieces, Shana Boyarsky and husband Allen of Dallas, Texas, Serena Lammons of Dallas, Texas and Lynde McAdams of College Station, Texas; great-great-nieces, Autumn Minshew Leach and husband Bruce of Heath, Texas and Michelle Boyarsky of Dallas, Texas; great-great-nephews, Blake Kirby and Spencer Lammons both of Dallas; special friends and caregivers, Willie and Alfred Gilmore of McKinney, Texas; and many other loving family members and friends.

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, Roger McAdams; parents, Reace and Rachel Frisby; sister, Evelyn Chandler and husband Gardell; and cousin, Hope Organ.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 19, 2013 at First United Methodist Church, 315 N. Church Street, McKinney, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m., prior to the service. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday to pay their respects and to sign the register book at their convenience.
