Margaret Anne Eddy, age 69, of McKinney, Texas, passed away June 2, 2014. Margaret was born December 31, 1944, in Vancouver, Washington, to Claude Ray and Berneice June (Douthit) Smith. She married Clarence William Eddy on October 21, 1967, in Reno, Nevada. Margaret grew up in Clarinda, Iowa and Sunnyvale, California. She was an avid golfer and loved cooking. Margaret was a member of the McKinney Newcomers Group.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Eddy of McKinney, Texas; sons, Steve Eddy and wife, Staci of Morgan Hill, California and Roger Lowery Eddy and wife, Ellen of El Dorado, California; grandchildren, Joshua Harrington, D. J. Eddy, Cassidy Eddy, Grant Eddy, and Owen Eddy; great-grandchildren, Connor Harrington, Ian Harrington, and Alyssa Harrington; brother, Bob Smith and wife, Cora of Simpsonville, South Carolina; and sister, Betty Smith of Clarinda, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, John Eddy.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2014, at The Retreat at Craig Ranch Clubhouse in McKinney, Texas.
