Margaret Bennett Broaddus, age 90, of McKinney, Texas passed away February 3, 2004, in Plano, Texas. She was born January 4, 1914, in Detroit, Michigan to Bernard Joseph and Isabell (Brennan) Bennett. On December 29, 1941, she married John Oliver Broaddus in Detroit. She was a Registered Nurse and a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in McKinney. She was a charter member of the McKinney Five-O Group. She is survived by her daughter, Geri Huntsinger of McKinney; grandchildren, Mandi Rogers of Bryan, Texas, Jan Huntsinger-Spence and husband, John of Austin, Texas, Mathew Huntsinger and wife, Sarah of Ft. Lewis, Washington and Michelle Losito and husband, Marc of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Rogers of Korea and Megan Losito of Ft. Bragg; brother and sister, Jack Bennett and Ilene Wilson both of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada; sister-in-law, Sally Bennett Smith of London, Arkansas; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Oliver Broaddus M.D.; son, John Richard Broaddus; brothers, Joe Bennett, Frank Bennett and Tom Bennett; and a special friend, Knox Nixon. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2004, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in McKinney with Father Carl Vogel and Father Steven Biershcenk officiating. A rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home with a visitation following.
