IN LOVING MEMORY

Mae Allen Lucas

Jul 15 1945 - Oct 07 2012

Mrs. Mae Allen Lucas was born July 15, 1945 to the parentage of Allen Williams, Sr. and Pollie Mae Bomar in Celina, Texas. She attended George Washington Carver in Celina, Texas and Doty High in McKinney, Texas. Sister Lucas was united in marriage to Eugene Lucas in May 1976. She came to Christ at an early age and was saved under the late Elder Fields. Until her health failed, Sister Lucas was one of the Mother’s of the church at Power House C.O.G.I.C. She was also their Choir President for many years. Her main love was working with the children every year as she held the Easter Programs. Sister Lucas got so much joy in watching the children as they prepared trying to learn their speeches before the program to see who would win the “Big Baskets” she always had waiting for them. She also enjoyed preparing for the Pastor & Wife Anniversary and putting on “Love Programs.” She would always tell us that we needed to show more love to one another. Needless to say, Sister Lucas loved her Family, Pastor and the church. Whatever she could do, she was always willing and ready. The last time she attended church, she reminded us to Love, Support and follow your Pastor because that’s what God wants us to do.

Mae is survived by her 4 children, Beverly Petty of The Colony, Texas, Debra Stafford and her husband Norman of DeSoto, Texas, Johnny Thompson of The Colony, Texas and Alice Griggs of Frisco, Texas; 8 grandchildren, Johnny Thompson, Jr., Marcus Stafford, Gina Stafford, Dylan Griggs, K.T.
