Funeral Services for Madella Hicks Wilkins, 76 year old Leonard resident, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday July 22, 2014 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Charles Wrenn will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family visitation will be Monday July 21, 2014 from 6 until 8 P.M. at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard.
Madella was born October 19, 1937 at Bonham, Texas. Her parents were William Kinslow and Lora Dell Williams Hicks. She married Wayland L. Wilkins July 19, 1954 at Leonard. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard. She passed away at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas Friday July 18, 2014.
She is survived by her daughters and their mates: Tonya and Tracy Goins of Pottsboro, Trena Wilkins of Leonard and Toye and Gary Taylor of Leonard; her six grandchildren: Dustin Stanley of Sherman, Derek Stanley of McKinney, Lauren Wilkins Cox of Leonard, Cash Wilkins of Leonard, Storm Taylor of Leonard and Alex Goins of Pottsboro; a nephew: Pat Hicks II of Leonard.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Pat Hicks, her son, Kenny Mark Wilkins, and a niece, Vicki Hicks.
