Mr. Lynn Patrick “Pat” Murray, Sr., “Mr. 1941”, age 64 of McKinney, Texas, passed away January 8, 2006. He was born on August 9, 1941 to Casler B. and Beatrice Estella (Rogers) Murray in Leonard, Texas. On November 25, 1964 he married Helen Marie Walters in McKinney, Texas. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army. Mr. Murray was a school crossing guard at Custer and Cottonridge South in McKinney. He was an active member of the Central Baptist Church in McKinney. He was retired from Decker Meats and Wonder Bread. He was an avid collector of World War II Vintage Aircraft memorabilia. He loved and adored his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Helen Marie Murray, daughters, Melanie Ulch and husband Mike and Mandy Dawes and husband Kelly, all of McKinney; grandchildren, Nick Ulch, Matthew Ulch, Payton Dawes, and Madisen Dawes; brothers, Michael Lee Murray and wife Norma of Pittsburg, Texas and Roger Murray of Dallas, Texas; sisters, Dianne Holloway and husband Chuck of Robbinsville, North Carolina and Adrian King and husband Joe of Plano, Texas. His parents, his son Lynn Patrick Murray, Jr. and two brothers, Bubba and Bill Murray preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 12, 2006 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Pastor Jim Taliaferro officiating. Pat’s daughters, Mandy and Melanie along with Pastor Taliaferro and Dale Littrell will perform special music. Military Honors with the flag presentation along with “Taps” being performed by Dale Littrell will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
