Lynette “Lyn” Singer Morris, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on July 19, 2013 at the age of 76. She was born February 5, 1937, in Gurdon, Arkansas, to John Wingfield and Florence (Nohse) Wingfield Knight. Lyn was a member of The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration.
She is survived by her children, Mark Singer and wife B.J. of Allen, Texas, Craig Singer and wife Janice of Coppell, Texas; grandchildren, Amanda Harris and husband Christopher of Allen, Texas, Ashlyn Singer of Coppell, Texas and Adam Singer also of Coppell, Texas; a host of other loving family and friends.
Lyn is preceded in death by her parents, John Wingfield and Florence Knight, her brother Billy Jack Wingfield, and husbands, Irwin “Sonny” Singer and Robert “Bob” Morris. She and her husband Bob owned Robert Morris, a women’s clothing store in Preston Royal Shopping Center, for many years.
A graveside service is being held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Thursday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
