IN LOVING MEMORY

Lydia Jeanette Langford

Nov 02 1936 - Apr 29 2016

Lydia Jeanette Weeks Langford was called home to heaven by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after a brief battle with lymphoma.  She passed away peacefully at her home in Prosper, Texas, on April 29, 2016.

Jeanette was born in Gahagan, Louisiana, and spent her childhood in Lake Charles.  She graduated from Marion High School in 1957 where she met the love of her life, Bob, in 9th grade study hall. She was Bob’s devoted wife for 59 years. Together they created a legacy of love, companionship, family, and devotion to the Lord that has touched and inspired many.

Jeanette was a loving mother to her two children, Alan and Pam and their spouses Rochelle and Jeff.  She was a caring and fun-loving “Neanie” to Tyler, Paige, Dylan, and “bonus” grandkids Bethany and Bailee.  Jeanette is survived by her bothers A.J. and James and sisters-in-law Evelyn and Emma, and several nieces and nephews.

Jeanette loved her Lord, family, and friends; she served them faithfully everyday of her life. Her quiet and gentle spirit exemplified her servant’s heart.  While she will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her, Jeanette ran her race, finished strong, and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior!

A celebration of Jeanette's life will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 10:00 AM at the Faith Chapel of Prestonwood Baptist Church, 6801 W. Park Blvd, Plano, TX 75093. The Langford family will receive friends following the celebration.
