LuElla Smith age 85, of McKinney, Texas passed away on December 14 2004 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on January 2, 1919, in Rockdale, Texas to Walter Bentley and LuElla (Sanders) Smith. She was an excellent art teacher for the DISD for 36 years. She learned to scuba dive at the age of 68, loved to travel, showed horses for 20 years, loved animals, loved the arts and learning things even after retirement. She was a member of the Disciples of Christ faith. She is survived by her friend, Barbara Jacobs of Fairview, Texas; sisters, Mary Sue Medart and Helen Mignone Perry, both of Dallas, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Wallis Smith, Roger Smith, Walter Smith, Jr. and Ruth Milligan. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 18, 2004 in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M., Friday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
