Lucille Roderick Jenkins was born June 25, 1914 in Ladonia, Texas to Elam Roderick and Carolyn Matilda Crownover Roderick. She married Albert Ted Jenkins on September 4, 1937 in Sherman, Texas. She died Friday, November 14, 2014 at Arlington Villa in Arlington, Texas at the age of 100.

Lucille lived a long and fruitful life. She served her community up into her mid eighties. She delivered Meals on Wheels in Tom Bean. She loved to play Bridge, do Crossword Puzzles and to read. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Whitewright and a member of the First Baptist Church in Tom Bean. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by son, Michael Jenkins and wife Mary Margaret of Savannah, Georgia; daughter, Jane Jenkins Collins and husband John of Arlington; grandchildren, Rick Collins, Kim Collins Harvey, and Jennifer Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Joel Harvey, Kelsey Harvey, Nikki Collins, and Ison Jenkins; She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 68 years, Ted Jenkins.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Whitewright, Texas. Officiating the service will be Rev. Bill McFatridge. Burial will follow at Vittitoe Cemetery in Tom Bean, Texas.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 10:00am until service time at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Whitewright, Texas.
