Lucille Marie Howard Hurst, age 91, formerly of McKinney, Texas, passed away November 9, 2010, in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Lucille was born September 13, 1919, in Collin County, Texas, to George W. and Sally (Phillips) Howard. She married Ray Hurst on September 21, 1940, in McKinney, Texas. Lucille was a member of Community North Baptist Church in McKinney. She was a sales clerk at Gibson’s Discount Center in McKinney for many years. She is survived by her son, Harold Hurst and wife, Calli of Guthrie, Oklahoma; grandchildren, James R. Barton of McKinney, Texas, Rae Lynn Queen of Boerne, Texas, Jake Hurst of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Jeremiah Hurst of Edmond, Oklahoma, Autumn Brooks of Guthrie, Oklahoma, Stacy Gillard of Farmersville, Texas, and Sondra Carrol of Blue Ridge, Texas; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Evelyn Smith of Princeton, Texas and Jennie Hudson of McKinney, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hurst, daughter, Sandra Wyatt, grandson, Joshua Aaron Hurst, brothers, Lacy, Grady, and Harold Howard, and sisters, Naomi Black, Elsie Bales, Gladys Bryson, and Frances Barrow. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Rev. Bruce Austin officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 6:30 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.
