Mrs. Lucille “Granny” Cooper Hill, age 89 of Plano, TX, passed away June 8, 2005 at her home. She was born August 11, 1915 in Britton, TX to William H. and Nellie Mae (Barclay) Cooper. She married Leonard “Buck” Hill in Oklahoma on September 5, 1932. They raised their family in McKinney before moving to Plano. Mrs. Hill retired from Texas Instruments after 17 years of service. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church of Plano. Mrs. Hill leaves behind her 2 daughters, Helen Fisher and Louise Vier both of Plano; 4 grandchildren, Tim Fisher, Linda Kay Legg, Craig Vier, Laurie Strait; 6 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, Janie Carper, Pixie Gibson, and Marie Nell Frisby; nephews, David Cooper, Earl Cooper, and Marvin Cooper; and many other relatives and friends. Her parents, her husband of 50 years, 1 sister; and 6 brothers preceded her in death. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2005, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Rev. Jim Everidge officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, TX. Mrs. Hill will lie in repose Friday, June 10th with visitation from 7:00 PM until 9:00PM at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
