Funeral Services for Louise M. Shaffer Minchey, 102 year old Plano resident (formerly of Leonard) are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday December 11, 2015 at the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel at Leonard. Jerry Shaffer will officiate. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery. Family Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time Friday December 11, 2015.
Mrs. Minchey was born July 5, 1913 at Leonard. Her parents were Mikel Joseph and Laura Etta Felmet Shaffer. She married Richard Wayne Minchey September 2, 1933 at Bonham. She was a graduate of Leonard High School, a member of the First Baptist Church of Leonard and a homemaker. She passed away Tuesday December 8, 2015 at the Medical Center of Plano.
She is survived by her son: Morris Richard Minchey of Plano; her granddaughter: Tina Sheree Minchey of Plano; her grandson: Steven Richard Minchey of McKinney; her grandchildren: Amber Nichole Smith and Sean Mikel Smith of Plano, Patrick Austin Minchey and Sara Catherine Minchey, of McKinney, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her eight brothers and sisters and her daughter-in-law, Margie Nelle Minchey.
