Louise Knight Glenn

Louise Knight Glenn, age 91, of McKinney, Texas, passed away comfortably at home with family members at her side. Louise was born January 25, 1918, in Allen, Texas, to B. C. and Grace Caroline (Smith) Knight. She married R. L. Glenn on August 9, 1941 in Durant, Oklahoma. Louise graduated from Frisco High School in 1935. She was employed with Comegys-Eubanks Insurance Company in McKinney as well as the Veteran’s Administration Hospital and Texas Power and Light in Dallas. Louise was a lifetime member and President of the Collin County Art Club. She was also President of the Parent Teacher Association at North Ward School in McKinney. Louise enjoyed painting, cooking, quilting, and sewing. She was also a faithful member of First Christian Church in McKinney where she taught Sunday School. She is survived by her son, Ronny Glenn of McKinney; grandson, Stefen Glenn, also of McKinney; granddaughter, Grantsie Youngblood and husband, Jeremy of Frisco; great-granddaugter, Bailee Nicole Glenn, also of McKinney; nephew, Bobby Knight of Mesquite, Texas; niece, Lois Ann Woods of Ft. Worth, Texas; and numerous other loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, R. L. Glenn, son, Robert Harold Glenn, and brothers, Hale Knight and Bush Knight. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas with Dr. Neill Grimes officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Officiating as pallbearers will be Kent Knight, Allen Knight, Bobby Knight, Brian Baker, Jeremy Youngblood, and Stefen Glenn. Louise was cared for by Heart to Heart Hospice. The family wishes to thank her caregivers, Linda Eastham, Lindsey Blum, Tisha Harrison, Kathy Rose, and Lorraine Schriver.
