Mrs. Louise Eubanks, age 78, of McKinney, Texas passed away September 14, 2006 in Plano, Texas after a 4 year battle with lung cancer. She was born August 21, 1928 in Alba, Texas to Oscar Grey and Lucille (McCollum) Jenkins. On March 20, 1944 she married Nelse A. Eubanks, Jr. in Durant, Oklahoma. Mrs. Eubanks was retired from the McKinney Independent School District and was a member of Waddill Street Baptist Church for over 40 years. She is survived by her children Nelse and his wife Judy of McKinney, Larry and his wife Beverly of Plano, Terry and his wife Diane of McKinney, and Karen Knight and her husband Allen of McKinney; grandchildren Stacey Trollope and her husband Shawn, Amy Whitsell and her husband Bryan, Erin Finseth and her husband Peter, Jarret Eubanks and his wife Katie, Jennifer Cooper and her husband Craig, Misty Cleveland and her husband Jimmy, Courtney Claborn and her husband Cory, Matthew Knight, and Adrian Davila; great-grandchildren Sarah and Caleb Trollope, Kendall and Caden Finseth, Bennett Cooper and Abbie Cleveland; brother Wayne and his wife Cynthia Jenkins of McKinney; and many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband and parents. Louise was known throughout the community as “Granny”. She was happiest when in the midst of a gathering of family and friends. Granny was in her element when she had her camper in tow and was surrounded by her caravan of family campers. Later in life, Granny’s passion was attending gospel and country music events. Granny is remembered by family and friends for her compassion and unselfish care for others. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 17, 2006, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Woody Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Saturday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the North Texas Regional Cancer Center, 3705 W. 15th Street, Plano, Texas 75075, the American Cancer Society, P.O.
