Loretta Mae Talley, of Princeton, Texas, passed away on April 6, 2013 at Hinton Home in Farmersville, at the age of 93. She was born on September 22, 1919, in Culleoka, Texas, to William Oliver and Flora Bell (Bowen) Wallis. On November 27, 1938, Loretta married Willie B. Talley in Princeton. She was from a large blended family, and is the last of thirteen children. She worked for Haggar Slacks in McKinney for twenty years. Loretta and her husband farmed land around Princeton for fifty years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton, Texas.
She is survived by her daughter, Billie Meuir and husband Don of Princeton, Texas; grandchildren, Chat York and wife Sonya of Dallas, Texas, Scarlett Ann Cockrill and husband Collin of Grand Prairie, Texas, Connie Ownby and husband Mark of Denison, Texas, Janie Hardie and husband Tony of Merit, Texas, Loretta Kay Landers and husband Josh of Culleoka, Texas; thirteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Loretta is preceded in death by her parents, William Oliver and Flora Bell Wallis; husband, Willie B. Talley; and daughter, Betty Dimmerman.
A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, April 11, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Princeton, 511 Jefferson Avenue, Princeton, Texas 75407, with Pastor Carl Rider officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation being held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
