Mr. Lonnie J. Rupe of Garland, Texas passed away November 12, 2010 at his residence.  He was born February 23, 1931 in Rockwall,Texas the son of William F. and Mabel Moore Rupe.  He married Barbara Baker January 12, 1951 in Farmersville, Texas.

He retired from Beech Nut Corp where he was employeed as a sales representative and later worked for S.O.S. service center in Dallas. 

He graduated from Rockwall High School in 1948 and served in the United States Army.

He was a member if the First Baptist Church of Garland and is survived by his wife Barbara of Garland, a son, Phillip Rupe and wife Margie of Arlington, Texas a daughter, Nancy Thorne and husband Farren of Richardson, Texas.  He is also survived by 1 sister Inez Smith of Rockwall and grandchildren Carolyn Rupe, Brandon and Wife  Stephanie and Becca Rupe.  Great grandchildren Dallas and Addison Rupe. He was preceded in death by his brother W.L. Rupe.
