Lois Lorance Purcell, 95, of Princeton, Texas passed away August 3, 2005. Lois was born to George and Annie Lorance December 20, 1909 in Josephine, Texas. Lois was the youngest of nine children. She was married to William (Bud) Purcell July 27, 1930 in Greenville, Texas. William preceded her in death November 26, 1999. Lois was a member of the First Baptist Church of Culleoka, Texas. She and William joined the Culleoka Baptist Church in 1942. Throughout her life, Lois exemplified the life of a Christian. To know Lois was to know grace, love, generosity and kindness. Her husband; son-in-law, E.M. Grise Jr.; granddaughter, Becky Diane Grise; six brothers and two sisters preceded Lois in death. Lois is survived by two daughters, Leta and husband, Bill Douglas of Farmersville, Texas and Betty Grise of Corinth, Texas; grandsons, Tony Douglas and wife, Paula of Plano, Texas, Dale Douglas and wife, Renee of Midland, Texas and Russell Douglas of Corpus Christi, Texas; granddaughter, Gaytha Adams and husband, Tommy of Allen, Texas; eight great grandchildren, Matt and Leah Douglas, Merritt and Sayer Douglas, Andrew and Kristina Juarez, Glen and Thomas Adams; special friends, John Rickerson of McKinney, Texas and Nell and Leon Judd of Culleoka, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2005, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Rocky Weatherford officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
