Lloyd Anthony Cole

Lloyd Anthony Cole, devoted husband, father, grandfather, and step-father of Fairview, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2016, surrounded by family.  He was born on June 27, 1922, in Springfield, Colorado to Pauline Anthony and Lloyd Cole.  Lloyd proudly served as a pilot in the Navy during WWII, earning various medals, and later, flew with the reserves. He remained active in the American Naval Association in Kansas City, Missouri.  Lloyd was Regional Vice President of MGIC in Kansas City, retiring in 1986.  In 2006, he and Jacque moved to Heritage Ranch Golf & Country Club in Fairview, Texas. Lloyd enjoyed his Sunday school class and church friends at Creekwood United Methodist Church in Allen, Texas.  He participated in activities at Golden Grace in McKinney, Texas, where he was a member of the Golden Grace Veterans Group.  The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at Texas Star Assisted Living in Allen, Texas and Golden Grace. 

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jacqueline (Jacque) Adams Cole; daughter, Debra Stuckey and spouse, Frank of Hutchinson, Kansas and their children, Carey Beck and spouse, John, and Allie Archer; son, Gregory G. Cole and spouse, Barbara of Orange County, California and Greg’s daughter, Katie Cole; Jacque’s daughters, Anne T. Armstrong, Kathryn T. Barrett and spouse, Richard of Dallas, Texas, and her son William B. Triplett of Melbourne, Florida; sister, Gwendolyn Woods of Norman, Oklahoma; nephew, Bob Woods; niece, Marilyn Vaughn; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorene Cole.

A memorial service will be held at4:00 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
