Liza Lou Murphy, age 84, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on March 5, 2015. She was born on March 24, 1930 in Fairview, Texas, to Swanson Clifford and Winnie Mae (Ivy) Pruett. On March 19, 1949, Liza married Dorisey “Pete” Murphy in Rockwall, Texas. She was a member of East Fork Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Pete Murphy of McKinney, Texas; children, Debra Pullins and husband Bill of McKinney, Texas, Paul Murphy and wife Becky of Farmersville, Texas; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends.
Liza is preceded in death by her parents, Swanson Clifford and Winnie Mae Pruett; son, David Murphy; sisters, Mary Hartline and Gladys Davidson.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2015, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at a visitation being held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., on Saturday evening at the funeral home.
