Linuel McNatt, 86, passed from this life Thursday, August 25, 2011, at North Park Rehabilitation Center in McKinney. The family will have a private memorial celebration on August 26, at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home in McKinney, with son Clark McNatt officiating. Burial will be at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. He was born to Fred and Zora McNatt on February 9, 1925 in Leedy, Oklahoma. Upon graduation from high school, He served in the Army during World War II in New Guinea and the Philippines. He was married to Tommie Clark from 1944 until her death in 1966. The marriage produced two sons, Clark and Hank. He spent twenty years with the J.C. Penney Company, managing the Breckenridge, Texas store from 1957 until his resignation in 1966. Linuel would move to Fort Worth to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and begin a ministry that lasted 40 years. In 1969 he married Tommie Askew, who was loved as the pastor’s wife by each church where they served. He pastured two churches in Texas and seven churches in Oklahoma. In 2005, he moved to McKinney to be near his two sons. He is survived by his wife Tommie, sons Clark McNatt of Allen and Hank McNatt of Mesquite; one grandson, David McNatt of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and three great-grandchildren.
