Linda Sue Webb

Linda Sue Webb was born Linda Sue Elliott on July 7, 1949, in New Orleans,
Louisiana. Her family relocated to Houston where she met and married Mark Webb
on August 31, 1968. The family lived in Lancaster, Texas; Evanston, Wyoming, and
Nashville, Tennessee before moving to Olive Branch, Mississippi, where they have
remained for the past 26 years. She passed away on October 9, 2014, at the age
of 65, at M. D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas after battling cancer for
the past four years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Lillie
Elliott. She is survived by her husband, Mark, of Olive Branch, Mississippi; a
daughter, Tonya (Cal) Thorne, of Harvest, Alabama; a son, Major Kevin Webb, of
Biloxi, Mississippi; and a daughter, Jessica (Erick) Marquez of Nesbit,
Mississippi; plus a total of nine grandchildren: Jerry, Corey, Trey, Samantha,
Meagan, Zachary, Scott, Isaac, and McKenzie. She’s also survived by her three
sisters, all of Texas: Brenda Warren of Houston; Jane Stockton of Cat Spring;
and Robin Lington of Murphy, and by a number of nieces and nephews. Linda worked
in a variety of occupations, ranging from a secretary, Activities Director of a
nursing home, Owner and Director of a Preschool, a Paralegal with three law
firms, and an Importer. Her main occupation was assisting her husband in
the work of the ministry in the various churches he pastored, including Grace
Bible Church in Olive Branch. Linda had a beloved second “family” in Mexico,
where she was actively involved in the work of the Mexican-Indian Training
Center in Cordoba, Mexico. Burial will be Saturday afternoon, October 11, at 3
p.m. in Nevada, Texas. A memorial service will be held at Grace Bible Church,
7145 Malone Rd. North, in Olive Branch at 7 p.m., Monday, October 13.
