Linda Joan Stewart, age 68, of Frisco, Texas passed away August 10, 2008. She was born May 7, 1940 in Baltimore, Maryland to Cyril O. and Lydia M. (Kohler) Beck. On April 15, 1966 Linda married Richard M. Stewart in New York. She was a dedicated and passionate teacher. She taught English at Fairhill School to children with learning differences. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Stewart of Dallas, Texas; brother, Craig Beck and wife, Julie of Portland, Oregon; dog, Max; close friends, Holmer family, Becker family, Derks family, Mlcak family and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Stewart; parents, Cyril and Lydia Beck. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the SPCA or to Baylor Healthcare System Foundation, Cancer Research Fund, 3600 Gaston Ave., Suite 100, Dallas, Texas 75246. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 16, 2008, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel, Allen, Texas with Rev. Danny Buster officiating. The family will receive friends during a remembrance gathering on Friday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
